The Museum Thyssen organises a contest in which artists can create a version of one of their paintings, and I am proud to say that I was one of the WINNERS of the FIRST EDITION!
I created a version of the Swaying Dancer (Dancer in Green), 1877-1879, by Degas, inspired also by another art movement, the Bauhaus. So my process was about reducing each shape to its minimum expression and geometric shape, and reducing the colours to red, blue, black and yellow.
